Just A Song Before I Go
Last week I did an arrangement of Just A Song Before I Go for the Graham Nash concert with the Contemporary Youth Orchestra on June 5th at Severance Hall in Cleveland.
The opening line to the song came from a question a friend asked as they were waiting to leave for the airport to go on tour…. “You’ve got half an hour, why don’t you just write a song before you go?”
Twenty minutes later he had the song. It was released on the CSN lp in 1977 and was their highest charting single, as it reached the Billboard top 10.
